Our Story

Hi! We're so glad you're here.

We're two lifelong friends who met after we graduated high school, even though we graduated in the same class, and have been doing life together ever since. Through the years, we've celebrated milestones, raised our families, navigated life's ups and downs, and learned that some of the best conversations start with, "Hold on... here's the thing."

These days, we're embracing this season of life with open hearts and a sense of adventure. Between us, we've raised four amazing adult children, and Heidi is soaking up every moment of being a grandma to her sweet grandchild. While life looks a little different than it did years ago, we're finding that there's still so much to discover especially right here in the Midwest.

We created Hold On, Here's the Thing to share the places we love, simple travel ideas, practical tips for making everyday life a little easier, and honest conversations about midlife, friendship, family, and everything in between. We believe you don't have to travel far to find something worth experiencing, and that the little moments often become the most meaningful memories.
